Festival of San Nicola

San Nicola, patron saint of Argenta, visits the city on his feast day, 6 December, opening the Christmas season. Accompanied by bands and children with spiders, he makes his way through the town to the ice arena where he tells St. Nicholas' story. Father Christmas joins him to give gifts of fruit and cookies to the children. It is now time to decorate the streets, outdoor trees, and to put up Christmas trees.
