St. Nicholas Celebration

The traditional May or early June Feast of St. Nicholas includes a procession and outdoor mass, with a band and fireworks. A dinner dance follows in the evening. The event is sometimes held at the Italian Cultural Center in Stone Park, Illinois, or on the Chicago River when Saint Nicholas Manna is used to bless the waters of Lake Michigan.
