Sinterklaas Day

Sinterklaas Day is the first Saturday in December. Sinterklaas comes on his white horse to the downtown Windmill Park. He then leads a short parade, with the town crier and brass players accompanied by police escort to the town hall. There children join in a program about Sinterklaas, play Dutch games, see a special puppet show, enjoy refreshments and receive small gifts. The event is free for children.
