St. Nicholas is the focus of this service, ulitizing the gifts of children and young people. Children carried the incense, served as acolytes, readers, received the offering and led the prayers. The young girl bishop, assisted by her Bishop's Chaplain, censed the altar, invited the congregation to confession, spoke the words of the peace as all the children shared the peace with every adult, and assisted the priest with the Eucharist. The sermon told the story of Saint Nicholas and reminding listeners that Jesus said we must become as children, urging adults to rekindle childlike qualities of hopefulness, joy and trust. The young bishop also distributed bags of chocolate golden coins to all the children.
