St. Nicholas has been the patron saint of Isnello since 1620. The festivities are held September 5 to 7. An octave precedes the festival when devotees come to the church each day to pray the rosary. On the last afternoon original musical compositions are performed and there is a secular procession, including a little St. Nicholas statue, banners representing the many saints celebrated in Italy. The procession stops numerous times and the band plays original songs to one of the many saints at each stop. In the evening there is a solemn procession with the church's 15th century statue of St. Nicholas, followed by faithful walking barefoot.
