Basilique Saint Nicolas, St-Nicolas-de-Port, France
These extraordinary scenes were painted in the 1500s by an anonymous artist for pilgrims to St-Nicolas-de-Port. For centuries these pictures told the St. Nicholas stories for pilgrims and residents of Lorraine. The fourteen small wooden panels are now in the crypt. Click for larger images.
