Opening Session

Saint-Nicolas opens the ski season in Verbier, one of the world’s premier ski resorts. On the first Saturday in December skiers dressed as St. Nicolas (with miter/hat, coat & beard) ski for just 5 Swiss francs, much lower than the usual cost. In 2019 5000 costumed skiers turned out for the day. A special train brings people to the resort. Free coffee and croissants, a group photo, and a later happy hour help fill the day. Sponsored by Téléverbier, proceeds go to the Prego Association in support of people with spinal cord injuries.
