St. Nicolas Cathedral

Around 1900 a number of Russian Orthodox churches were built abroad. The Vienna St Nicholas Cathedral is one of them, and especially notable for the richness of its architecture, materials, and appointments. The five-domed cathedral's bell tower contains five bells, the largest a gift of Russian soldiers after the liberation of Vienna in 1945.
