In 1997 the official Dutch arrival of Saint Nicholas was in the little town of Enkhuizen. This town issued on 15 November 1997 a First Day Cover to commemorate this arrival. The Dutch "television" Sinterklaas is shown on the cover. It also has a special postmark cancellation of Enkhuizen, the town who organized this national Saint Nicholas event. There is also a letter from a child to Saint Nicholas:
Dear Sinterklaas, I live in Enkhuizen. You'll appear on television by us. But I'll go to the boat, because that is much more fun. Please will you bring along a present— Best regards to Zwarte Piet
