Text on the back: Nicholas was Bishop of Lycia during the reign of the pagan emperors Diocletian and Maximilian. His public ministry was interrupted by imprisonment during the persecution of Christians. It was only under Constantine, the Roman emperor who later converted to Christianity, that he was able to resume his pastoral duties. His remains were transported from Myra to Bari, Italy.
