This "serienschein" or "notgeld" is a German emergency note with a value of 50 pfennig. These notes were issued by each town in hyper-inflationary Germany following World War I, they were printed as late as 1922 in some towns. St Nikolaus and the Madonna are shown with the Nikolaikirche of Jüterbog
