This Saint Nicholas Cross is based on a Byzantine icon, St. Nicholas with Scenses of his Life, from the early 13th century. It was produced in cooperation with the Holy Monastery of St. Catherine, Sinai. In the icon, the orignal cross appears on the saint's vestments.
