Mr. Cristino Paleta, a neighbor of Tulimia Comprension de Colotitlan, had a little devil constantly under his bed. He wouldn't leave him alone. He put himself at the mercy of St. Nicholas and that was enough. For this he puts this retablito giving thanks with lots of devotion.

Ex-votos are objects or paintings left in gratitude, particularly for healing or blessing. In Mexico they tell the story of the blessing.
