Once upon a time, in the fourth century, there lived a rich young man from Asia Minor, named Nicholas. He so loved the kind and gentle nature of Christ, that he went about secretly slipping coins and gifts under the doors of the poor.
After this good man had given away all of his gold and silver, he entered a monastery, where he became a bishop, and later a Saint.
