St Nicholas & St Faith Church

Saltash, Cornwall England UK

Church of England (Anglican)

This early Norman church was built over 1000 years ago. It was a chapel of ease to the parish church St Stephens. It is just up from the ferry crossing and next to the market. The church was enlarged in the 14th and 15th centuries. The church fell into disrepair prior to Victorian restoration. The large east window suffered war damage and shrapnel and scorching may still be seen. Unique in England, it was owned by the Corporation of Saltash until 1924.
