Anglican Church of Korea
As the Mother Church, Seoul Cathedral has been a centre for Anglican church activities in Korea and a spiritual centre for Korean Christianity. The present building was built in 1926, though the Seoul Anglican Cathedral was founded in 1891. The church has been a herald of Christian justice and the good news of peace. It led the liberation movement against the Japanese occupation and has contributed to the realization of social justice, the recovery of human rights, and the democratization of Korea.
