Hungarian Byzantine Catholics in Trenton were originally members of St. Mary's the Assumption Ruthenian parish, which was difficult for those who didn't speak Slavonic. A Hungarian parish was organized in 1917 as St. Nicholas (Miklos) Hungarian Greek Catholic Church. The St John German Evangelical Church was purchased and dedicated in 1918. An icon screen was installed at the parish's 70th anniversary in 1967. The parish is now closed, records may be found at St. Mary of the Assumption, Trenton.
