St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Chomedey Laval (Montreal), Quebec Canada Greek Orthodox Greeks first came to Ile Jesus in 1968. In 1970 the Greek Orthodox Community of Laval was chartered. The first Greek School, St. Nicholas, began in 1971. It is a Saturday Greek School with 430 students. St. Nicholas Church was built in 1976.
