False Pass, Unimak Island, Alaska USA
Orthodox Church in America (Russian)
False Pass got its name because the the Bering Sea side of the strait is too shallow for large vessels. The first homesteader came in the early 1900s and it grew when a cannery opened in 1917. The chapel is served by the priest in Chignik Lake. Services for Saint Nicholas Chapel, begun in 2010, are held in the Rec Center.
