Billings, Montana USA
Orthodox Church in America
Founded in 1994 as a mission plant by the national church, the parish purchased a church building and the iconostasis is the restored antique from Holy Virgin Mary Cathedral in Los Angeles. There are many Greek, Serbian, and Russian families in the Billings area as they followed railroad and mining operations into Montana. This church, dedicated to St Nicholas Velimirovich (a Serbian Bishop who suffered in Dachau before coming to America) absorbed the Greek Orthodox St Nicholas of Myra which had been formed in 1988.
