In 1916 Flint was growing and factory work was plentiful, drawing immigrants from the Austro-Hungarian and Russian Empires. The Windiate-Pierce-Davison land development company gave six lots for a church and rectory. The parish relocated to Burton in 1949 and again in 1966 when the new expressway came through Flint. More recently the church has obtained a new iconostas, bell tower, and a shrine chapel and outdoor pavillion.
