Church of England (Anglican)
This modest 12th century medieval Norman church has always served an agricultural community. The primary alterations from its founding until the Victorian era were the addition of various windows to provide more light. The cap to the bell turret was added in the 15th century. The Victorians added a rather dark sanctuary and the vestry. The only surviving Norman fitting is the font. A gallery was installed mid-18th century to accomodate the worshippers from St Nicholas Slaughterford, after Cromwell's troops destroyed their church.
