Church Website

In 1870 the Presbyterian congregation (formed in 1865) built this chapel on the site of the former St. Nicholas Chapel at the entrance to Shrewsbury Castle. A tower was planned, but never built. In 1975 the congregation joined the United Reformed Church in Abbey Foregate and the building was no longer used for worship. The building was converted into offices and, in 2014, a cafe, bar, spa, and a hotel. The four-story building is now a bistro-bar and boutique hotel.
