St Nicholas Chapel

Gipping, Suffolk England UK

Church of England (Anglican)

Built before the Reformation as the private chapel of the manor house Gipping Hall, the tower was added in the 17th century. All the windows originally had stained glass saints, destroyed probably by 17th century Puritans. The surviving glass is installed in the east window. St Nicholas became a public chapel in 1743 and is now under the care of the Rector of Bacton.
