Church of England (Anglican)
St Nicholas has been a parish church since before 1301. The architect Augustus Pugin began work on the church in 1844 and is credited with the Norman-style chancel arch and the left aisle Gothic arches. The church was badly damaged by fire early on Christmas Eve Day, 2007. Restoration completed in 2011.
