St Nicholas Church

Woodrising, Norfolk England UK

Church of England (Anglican)

The tower collapsed before 1742, having been described 'in very great decay' in 1602. The rubble was left and a grassy mound eventually formed over it. The 1826 barrel organ has three barrels that play 30 hymn tunes without an organist, providing accompaniment similar to a player piano. One barrel is original, the others replaced in 1865 and 1960. The church has many unusual corbels.
