Dunkeswell, Devonshire England UK
Church of England (Anglican)
The church has been dedicated to St Nicholas since the 12th century. This building is at least the fourth on the site, built between 1865 and 1868 in Early English style. The tower, severely damaged and weakened by the vibrations of the U.S. Fleet Air Wing, based in Dunkeswell from 1943 to 1945, was demolished in 1947 and rebuilt 1954. Bells were restored in 1956.
