Church of England (Anglican)
The present church, the oldest building in the village, has grown over the years from the Norman building constructed in the 1100s. Extensive rebuilding and enlargement took place in the 14th century and again in Victorian times. The church was first dedicated to St Thomas à Becket, but in 1905 it was listed as St Nicholas.
St. Nicholas belongs to the Wistow Benefice, with St. Mary Magdalene, Kilby, St. Wiston, Wistow, and St. Luke, Newton Harcourt.
