St Nicholas Church

Marton Moss (Blackpool), Lancashire England UK

[Church of England (Anglican)]

The first St Nicholas Church was built in 1873. The church was rebuilt in 1936 and again in 1965, but structural problems have caused it to be demolished. The parish was combined with St Christopher, Hawes Side, forming the parish of St Christopher and St Nicholas. St Nicholas Primary School, begun in the 1830s, moved to the present site in 1873 as an extention to the original St. Nicholas Church. A classroom was added in 1973 and again with a library in 1990.
