Church of England (Anglican)
This early 12th century church has much of interest, including a rare medieval stone altar and early Norman font. An unusual turret clock is on display in the north aisle. Dated around 1670, it served the community for 250 years before being brought inside. It was unusual as it had no hands or dial and chimed the hours with a bell. Following a fire in the 1870s, the church was restored in 1884 when the pine pews and floor tiles were installed. The church is presently raising funds for an ambitious project to restore and increase the ring from four to six bells, rehanging all the bells with a new frame and building a ringing floor. Holy Eucharist is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of the month and Evening Prayer on the 1st Sunday. The church is part of the Burford Benefice.
