The main church of a monastery, this church has been dated to the early 14th century. The church belongs to the Vlattades Monastery and functioned as a church during the Turkish occupation, and still does today. The name Orphanos is believed to refer to a monk of that name who founded the church. The wall paintings are thought to be original to the time the church was built.
