The St Nicholas Russian Orthodox church was built in 1932 and consecrated in 1937. After closure in 1949, it was used as a warehouse, then a washing machine factory and later housed the community cultural office. Restored in 2008, it was home to the French restaurant Ashanti Dome on the upper floor and a Spanish tapas bar, Boca, on the ground floor. The loft was reconsecrated during Expo 2010 to allow Russian Orthodox services. A bookstore, Sinan Books, opened December 2019. It is built as a building within a building to preserve the historic original church.
