Tropino, Yaroslavl Oblast Russia
[Russian Orthodox]
The stone church was first built in 1660, replacing a wooden one that had burned; a second floor was added in 1660. The bell tower was added in 1883. Located on the right bank of the Kotorosl River, it flooded every year, as pictured—that is the reason the second floor was added. The church was closed in 1931. The dome was removed and the bell tower demolished. It was used as a woodworking factory, later as a club and then a hostel. The ruins of the church building are now used to warehouse fish. There is no access and not restoration.
