[St Nicholas Church]—Church of St Thomas the Martyr

Oxford, Oxfordshire England UK

Church of England (Anglican)

The church, dedicated to St Thomas of Canterbury when founded in 1141, was renamed and dedicated to St Nicholas following the English Reformation, as Thomas à Becket represented church independence from the crown. The church, near the railway, is once again dedicated to St Thomas the Martyr. The tower has a peal of ten bells.
