Hervormde Kerk—[St. Nicolaaskerk]

Krommenie Netherlands

Protestantse Kerk in Nederland (Reformed)

The late Gothic one-aisled church was dedicated to St Nicholas around 1400, when it replaced a chapel. Badly damaged in the Eighty Years War, the surviving walls were repaired in 1657-58, the west end lengthened, and a wooden tower added as was common at the time. Restoration in the 1960s removed a layer of stucco from the outside.
