Church of the Translation of the Relics of St. Nicholas—St. Elijah

Repid' / Rzepedź Poland

Greek Catholic (Byzantine)/ Roman Catholic

In the Carpathian Mountain region the present church, eastern Lemko style, stands where the original was built in 1526. The church is three chamber log construction with a tall, three story bell tower in front. The church yard is surrounded by a stone fence with entrance gate. The church has been used by the local Roman Catholic parish since 1949 as a funeral chapel. It was renovated by remaining and returning Greek Catholics in the early 1970s. Opened by the Roman Catholic bishop for major holidays in 1976, the church was permanently opened in 1987. It is now used by both Roman and Greek Catholics.
