Church Website

Located on the edge of the village, a wooden church stood in this place by 875. The 14th cetnury Romanesque tower may originally been separate from the church itself. The late-Gothic nave was built in the 15th century, with a porch added in 1713. The Bentheimer sandstone font, removed after the Reformation, was recovered in 1989, having been used as a watering trough for cattle.
