The church was founded by Roger de Beaumont in the 11th century, the time of the Norman Conquest in England. The Germans built an air base in the Beaumont-le-Roger, bringing heavy bombing to the area and badly damaging the church. The rebuilt 12th century church has spendid 16th century glass.
