St Nicholas Church

Severn Beach, Gloucestershire England UK

Church of England (Anglican)

These pre-fabricated churches were made of corrugated galvanized iron kits, purchased from catalogs, to provide temporary accomodation from the 1870s onward. They have proved to be very durable. The buildings were framed in timber and finished inside with high quality tongue-and-groove boards. Asbestos was found in this church and it was demolished by the diocese.

The St Nicholas Church now (2004) meets in the Severn Beach Christian Family Church for services of Holy Communion or Evening Prayer, Sundays at 6:00 pm.
