The present-day church was built in 1919-20 on the site of an earlier log church (1910)that when a larger building was needed. The domes are covered in sheet-metal. The church was moved onto a new foundation in the 1930s and exterior renovations were carried out in 1982. The church seats 90 with standing room for 400. St. Nicholas has been a cultural and educational centre with a library, amateur arts group, and choir.
