Saint Nicholas Monastery, founded in 1978, is located in suburban Fort Myers in a five-acre plot. Over the years it has served both monks and nuns. Beginning in 2016 the buildings were completely reconstructed, including replacing the roof and installing air conditioners. The monastery offers hospitality to visitors, with a pilgrim hostel, and has a sewing room for liturgical embroidery. The monastery is a spiritual center for Russian Orthodox and other Orthodox believers.
