Church of England (Anglican)
Christians have worshipped here for over 1000 years. The church was largely rebuilt in 1884, though the tower dates from 1425. The church is dedicated to St Nicholas because it is on the banks of the River Thames close to a ferry crossing and a fishing community. The parish celebrates the Feast of St Nicholas on December 6th and the Parish Patronal Festival in May, commemorating the Translation of the Relics of St Nicholas of Myra to Bari.
