The old parish church of St. Nicholas was built in the 15th century, though greatly modified and rebuilt over the years. Major repairs were needed in 1971. Because the building was too small and the needed repairs too great, it was decided to build a new church. Only the baroque tower remains from the original church. The new St. Nicholas church was dedicated in 1973. The fifieth anniversary was celebrted in June, 2023.
