Vraclav Czech Republic
Roman Catholic
This has been a place of pilgrimage since a chapel and hermitage were built over a spring with healing waters in the early 17th century. A spa was developed from 1711-1719 and this Baroque church replaced the earlier chapel (1724-30). After the spa closed, the church had become dilapidated by 1900. From 1976-86 reconstruction restored the church. It houses a collection of larger-than-life polychromed religious statues from 1740.
