St. Nicholas Cathedral, 1685, is part of the Vyazhishchi monastery. It is north of Novgorod on the road to to St. Peterburg. The monastery was once one of the five most important cloisters in the region. The lands were taken by the government in 1764. The monastery closed in 1920 and it was used by the local collective farm. The buildings were badly damaged in World War II. It was returned to the church in 1964 and nukns from Estonia came in 1995. The village is inside a large factory complex that is still in use.
