This magnificent highly ornamented church, completed in 1756, is the most significant example of Baroque style in Prague. It is the largest Prague church after St. Vitus Cathedral. It was built from 1673 - 1710. The exterior is heavily ornamented with statues of many saints. The nave features one of the largest paintings in Europe depicting St. Nicholas. Mozart played the organ here during his stay in Prague. It may be the most photographed church in the world.
