The church was built from the 13th to the 17th centuries, with various restorations and changes. The facade dates from the 17th century. The tower was demolished in 1798, replaced by a platform with guardrail. The wuare tower was rebuilt in 1856 and restored to match the rest of the church in 1988-89.
