Kosciól sw. Mikolaja

Kraków Poland

Roman Catholic

The first Romanesque church was built in the 11th or early 12th century; it was assigned to the Benedictines of Tyniec and also served as the parish for the Wesola settlement. It was given to the Krakow Academy in 1467. In the 14th or 15th century the building was demolished and the material used to build a new Gothic church. It was plundered and burned in 1655. The present Baroque church was rebuilt from 1677-1684. The interior fittings are from the later 1700s. Around 1900 a second aisle was added and a new sacristy.
