Immigrants from Luxemburg, Germany and Ireland built the church in 1868. Priest's duities were shared with Caledonia until the first resident priest came in 1897. Stained glass windows were installed in 1920 and the church was remodeled in 1939. It was closed in 1978. Before it was to be razed in 2006, the altars were moved to St. Joseph Church, Good Thunder, Minnesota.
