The church, built from 1370-1414 and enlarged in the 1880s. During the Reformation it became Lutheran in 1525, remaining so until 1945. The church was destroyed by fire in 1945. After 13 years, it was rebuilt following the original plans from 1370. There is a Gothic triptych from 1500 in the chancel. Gothic polychromes from 1418 and 1428 were discovered during reconstruction. It has since functioned as a Roman Catholic church.
